I make this quiche all the time with a few changes. I use heavy cream instead of milk, it makes the quiche light and fluffy. I use 1/2 lb to 1 lb of cooked sausage, add it to pie shell, then add cheese/egg/milk mixture. I always use swiss cheese. Very yummy quiche, everyone loves it.
I made it with mozzarella and Colby-Jack cheese, sauteed shallots, sliced Brussel Sprouts, baby spinach, cooked chicken breast and baby potatoes and topped it with halved grape tomatoes.
