Urinary incontinence

The urine is produced by the kidneys , it travels through the ureters and then arrive in the bladder which is the reservoir, located in the pelvis, below the bladder, there is a sphincter: it is a circular muscle that closes the bladder it, when the bladder is full and is stimulated to urinate is felt, it is the will which open the sphincter and pass urine through the urethra and finally the outside.
Sometimes the sphincter is not working properly and urine may leak involuntarily, spontaneously or in connection with an effort, coughing or during sneezing : it is the urinary incontinence and reasons vary according to the age and sex. Continue reading

Kidneys

The kidneys are two in number and have the form of two large flat beans from 100 to 150 grams each and are located on both sides of the spine , under the chest and behind the abdomen, behind the organ abdominal ( stomach , pancreas , liver ,…).
They have two main functions: they purify the body of its waste through the production of urine and they produce hormones.

The kidney is a filter

The kidneys receive blood through the arteries and kidney do go through a series of tubes called tubules kidney where it is cleaned of impurities, then the blood returns to the general circulation by the veins kidney. Through this mechanism, elements leave in traffic, others are eliminated in the urine. Continue reading
